I finally got around to watching this last night. Another reason to be a proud Austinite.

Bloc Party - "Talons"

What's with this unexpected single stuff, Bloc Party? The video is a bit C&C Music Factory for my taste, but the track is impressive (especially considering that for all intents and purposes it's presented as an afterthought to the digital release of the album). "Talons" will be available on the physical release of the album on October 27. Bloc Party are currently touring Canada. (I'm sorry - I really wanted to post the track for y'all, but I'm not sure I have permission...)




Touch and Go informed me that they've just signed a new artist, All the Saints, and to celebrate they even sent over a track. I like this - just saying. (I've always been a sucker for good drum sounds, and they're positively cavernous here). Psych-rock that's straightforward enough for a wider appreciation - Alabama-(Atlanta)-boys done right by this one. Touch and Go is on fire this year.

Does anybody know where I can best purchase the new Soulwax DVD? I haven't really looked yet...but it doesn't appear to have gotten a proper stateside release, right?
