DD <3

Somebody last night posted up a low-res, shortened (4 minute...) copy of a new Designer Drugs remix for Annie's next single, Antonio. You can imagine my disdain; how did that guy get a copy of a new rework before me - I'M on the list, right? I woke up this morning feeling less sick, and a little lighter upon discovering new mail in my inbox... I'm in class at the moment, but there was nothing on/attached to this one suggesting it was low-res or anything else but the official release. Either way, especially as I've been slightly disappointed in the last 1 or 2 releases they've done, I LOVE this track. Down below, please find attached a photo of 2 familiar faces...I actually recorded DD's Beauty Bar set that night, but we spent more time drunkenly chattering into my mics... Yeah, it sounds great, but I hate the sound of my own voice. Perhaps I might be convinced to post that up anyway at a later date... It goes without saying that Michael killed it, and I'd have to say it was one of my favorite shows of SXSW 2009. (Bring Theo next time!) Also - Especially after SXSW, has anybody else noticed a fairly stark contrast between production and performance aesthetic with these guys? I dig it, but the set we heard at Beauty struck me as being fairly different from most of their own released production work.
